By default, the system group manages your Linux desktop for you. Should
you want to install and manage your own Linux desktop system, get in touch
with us. For staff members, this is no problem. For students working
on their masters thesis "afstudeerders" we need to know who will be
working on a certain computer and until what date. After that date, the
system will be wiped and reinstalled, so save your data somewhere else.
Be aware that you are responsible for the system being up-to-date and
virus-free if you manage it yourself. Systems causing problems will be
disconnected from the network.
